Your stay includes breakfast, served in the house each morning. It is the unhurried kind: time to plan the day, ask us about the mountains, and leave when you are ready.
Parkstrasse is a quiet street with the Jungfrau in sight. Interlaken Ost station and both lakes are a short walk or bus ride away.

Interlaken's own viewpoint. The funicular leaves from Interlaken Ost and climbs to the viewing platform above the town, with the Eiger, Moench and Jungfrau spread out in front of you.
Check the weather first. Clouds can hide the peaks, and note the last descent of the day.
The classic day trip: rail journey up to 3,454 m, ice palace, and views over the Aletsch Glacier. Long but unforgettable on a clear day.
Start early, bring warm layers, and take it slow at altitude. Reserve seats in peak season.
Boats leave near Interlaken West and glide past lakeside castles and swimming spots all the way to Thun.
Lakeshore paths are free. Check the boat timetable, it changes with the season.
The turquoise lake east of town. Take the boat to Giessbach, then the historic funicular up to the waterfall and the grand hotel.
The falls are free to view once you are there. Combine with a swim stop in summer.
A cogwheel railway from Wilderswil climbs through forest to an alpine garden and ridge walks facing the Eiger.
The best views are in the morning. Wear steady shoes for the ridge paths.
A kilometre of lit caverns inside the cliffs above Lake Thun, with waterfalls at the entrance.
Paths inside can be slippery, wear shoes with grip. Not ideal if stairs are a problem.
Getting around: Interlaken has two stations, Ost and West. Boats, funiculars and mountain railways run on seasonal timetables, so check times the evening before. In the mountains, weather changes fast: carry a layer and water even on sunny mornings.
